My Practice

Mary Anne has been in practice since August 2008.  She has many long-term clients, some that come for stress, tension and injury care regularly and some that come for a tune-up every now and again. Mary Anne offers registered massage therapy, craniosacral therapy and Thai Yoga Massage.

We’re all interconnected. When we strive to care for the health of our environment, I believe we automatically care for the health of others and ourselves. Below are some of the steps taken to ensure a healthy environment to facilitate your healthcare:

  • Solar powered facilities
  • Sheets are hung to dry outside whenever possible and are dried on  drying racks in the winter to avoid the use of high-energy dryers
  • Eco-friendly laundry detergent is used for its hypo-allergenic, non-irritating and non-polluting qualities
  • Treatment room was painted with water-based, low V.O.C. paint
  • All-natural botanical disinfectant used has been approved by Health Canada
  • Organic coconut oil used for safe absorption through the skin
  • Recycled tissue and toilet paper.

What to Expect:

You will experience a tranquil atmosphere with scents of essential oils like lavender or eucalyptus, whatever you choose for the treatment, while lying relaxed in a darkened room listening to meditative music. Your tensions will begin to subside as Mary Anne works out the knots and problem areas. Mary Anne believes that most people get the most out of a massage when they are able to focus on their bodies and calming their minds. Therefore, during the massage she avoids initiating conversation that doesn’t relate to your treatment.  Overall, it is a soothing experience and you will reap the benefits both mind and body.

Keep in mind…

This treatment is for you! Open communication and honest feedback will help make your treatment more enjoyable. If you’re in any pain, discomfort, or if there’s anything that could be changed or added to make your treatment more comfortable, Mary Anne is happy to accommodate any reasonable request.
